Hey Yo!!
I'm back from camp yesterday.
Prefects' camp, that is.
But I'm still feeling tired and sleepy now.
Totally drained of energy until I couldn't even afford to drag myself to ballet class today.=.=

19/3/09

2nd day of study camp.
Adam Khoo's learning strategy workshop "I am gifted, so are you!" was awesome.
Our trainer, Candice, told us about how she started out with an aggregate of 44 for L1R5 for her MYE, then improved to 15 for her prelims, and finally achieved an aggregate of 9 for L1R5 for her 'O's. Her story really convinced us that nothing is impossible and inspired us to work hard.

Candice also told us a touching story that made most of us cry D:

After the workshop ended at around 6pm, went for prefects' camp.

The campers were planning for their performances for the next day's concert night.


Dinner catered by Elsie's kitchen was good.

Everyone went high during the sing-along session, and we were jumping around with lightsticks like mad. Wooo!

Then 'Angel & Devil' XDD
Lots of screaming around. Hahahs!
Many groups thought me and val were angels...HAHAHAH but they were wrong! :DD
Val and I were devils & we made them do forfeits like Chihuahua, Love, mr bean....

Campers were afraid of Jarren coz he was crawling around in the dark. LOL
&&&!
Kavi rolled an empty rubbish bin down the stairs and i was infront of it...
Screamed like hell ):

We had London swiss roll for supper, in different flavours.
Of course, the most popular choice was London choco roll~
Washed up and lights off.

While the campers were zzz-ing, we (sec 4s) were practising our item for concert night.
The seniors kept chasing us to sleep. Lol.
And the funny thing was, they even kept watch while we were sleeping. Hehe.
I know, they just want us to have sufficient rest.

20/3/09

Barely 3 hours of sleep and we had to get up and do all our preparation stuff, for breakfast and activites etc.

Had flag raising & morning PT.
During morning PT, Nav, Jahan, Jarren and I went to hide the water guns, tidbits, chairs(!!!) & other stuff for 'Flora the Explorer'.
Look where nav and i hid the watergun.....

So obvious right?!

Breakfast,
Then the game started.
Hehe.
Wherever I went, I hear groups shouting "Swiper no swiping!", and next i see them running around searching for stuffs that we hid.
Lol.
Only 3 groups managed to find Flora's tag. cuz it was on me XD
Hahah! The game was fun :D

Left sch at around 1.45pm for my ballet exam rehearsal, all the way to Whampoa again.

We had a pianist playing live at the studio this time, and I would say it sounded quite different from the actual music disc. I think the pianist wasn't really familiar with the music pieces and when he made mistakes, he would try to rectify by playing the notes again. So we had to repeat the dance or what??? I hope this won't happen during exam. Lol.

Returned to sch around 7pm.

Changed into camp tee and joined the campers for buffet dinner.
Shirmin, Nav and I served the teachers, including our guest, Mr Ng. Haha.

Concert Night.

The sec 4s did a dance item, WE WANT TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT.....
The item put up by the sec 3s was damn funny, 10 ways to woo a guy/girl!

Debrief session that night left most of us in tears, especially when Shakir said,"why must time fly so fast?"
Nav and I were like non-stop handing out tissues to the campers.

The sec 4s had an E-web session, together with Ms Su and Mr Ng, after the campers retired to their bunks.
Glad to hear what Mr Ng said of the prefectorial board and our camp.

We actually planned this deco for eweb, made up of lightsticks and tealights.
But we aborted the plan due to some reasons.


21/3/09

Most of the sec 4s woke up late, thanks to all the late nights.
We were rushing like mad to get everything ready (water games stations) while the campers were having their breakfast.

Then, time for water games.
All of us had a great time bombing each other.
Running, screaming and getting wet. Haha.

After washup and area cleaning, the different groups had their E-web.

While the sec4s were packing up, I found a towel.
I was shouting "who's towel? anyone wants to claim it?"
Nobody answered me D:
So i approached Isaac and said, "heyy i think this towel belongs to your batchmate but nobody wants to claim it".
His reply was "you know why? cuz the towel is mine".
I was like =.=


Then home sweet home...

Overall, I think this camp was a fun, enjoyable and successful one.
Despite all the unexpected stuff that cropped up, some of which caused us to change our plans, we still managed to keep the camp going.
Thanks to all in the 7th prefectorial board for your hard work and efforts.
We had done our best, and that's what matters most. Right?
